Im a women in my 40's and due to go on a summer holiday ...?

...within the next 3 weeks, the same time i am due on my period. is there any pills i can take to delay my period?

ange
Answer:
Yep, you can go and ask your GP for some. I took some called Norethisterone when I went camping. Take them three times a day, starting 3 days before your period os due. Have fun on holiday!
You females really have my sympathy. It's just one problem after another (I'm not joking.) For us males it's easy, for example, all my shirts need ironing; so I went out and bought a new one instead.
Hi hun yes the doc can give you tablets to take to delay your periods i took them for my brothers wedding you know the story light coloured clothes didnt want to take a chance they are wonder drugs but then anything is that stops your periods hope this helps ejoy your hols

I'm a little nervous...?

To use tampons. I've been having my period since November. It's getting to be swimming season and I'm feeling less and less comfortamble with using pads. I know how to put one in but iy kinda scares me. Every time I try to put one in I freak and always mess something up. I'm going to a party later and I'm having my period and I know I'd be more comfortable with a tampon. If you have any suggestions about how I can be more comfortable with tampons please let me know.

Thanks!
Answer:
I had my daughter get 4 or 5 different kinds of tampons, all of them the slim or teen size. I told her to just go and try them until she got them right. I did not care if she messed up all of them learning. SHe finally got it right, and has a preference as to what she ikes to use. I just told her to do it when she felt comfortable. She did it when I went to work so that she was all alone in the house and did not have me bugging her. She was about 11 or 12. I told her that she really could not dammage her self, and to take her time and just figure it out. She did. She is 18 now and still quite fine. You will be ok. Just takes practice. LORI
i know it sounds crazy but relax. Sing a fav song or anything to take your mind off of what your doing. Try sitting on toilet while applying your tampon. If your upset then your vaginal muscles will tense and make it difficult for you to apply the tampon.
This is totally common. Don't worry about it; you'll get used to tampons when you're ready. You shouldn't try to rush it, but I do understand your qualms about the swimming season.

Just try to relax when you insert the tampon. Remember, many women wear them - there's little risk. Just make sure you take it out no later than 8 hours after insertion. Also, it's best to alternate tampons with pads in order to avoid toxic shock syndrome (TSS).

You can either sit on the toilet, squat, or just lift a leg and rest it somewhere. Ease in the tampon. Aim toward your lower back at a slight upward angle. If you're having to push very hard, you're probably not aiming right.

Again, don't be worried. I didn't use tampons for about 5 years, and it kinda sucked, but it wasn't the end of the world.
You don't have anything to worry about. I prefer pads, but when I go to my Tae Kwon Do class I wear both a pad and a tampon in case the tampon leaks. Tampons don't hurt at all, the only thing is that if you put them in at an angle or something they might feel a little weird, but once you get used to them or maybe even fifteen minutes after you put one in you won't even feel it.

Just try not to fall asleep with them in. ;) If you do (I've done it before), just take it out. No harm done, even though you should only wear them for about 6-8 hours.
You can get toxic shock syndrome from them, but only if you wear the tampon for about 3 days or something, NOT from just falling asleep or anything.

Okay, I might have scared you there, but it's really nothing to worry about. I've been using tampons since I had my period at thirteen. Just relax and don't worry about them. You'll be fine. :D

I'm a female and?

I have flat nipples and when they do poke out they are small and not long but i have big circles around them is this common ?
Answer:
Yes
Everyone is different hun. So yes. Its normal for you and thats all that matters. :)
your normal, every woman is different.
yeah nipples come alot of different ways

I'm a 50yr old woman and lately my breasts feel bigger than?

usual. My nipples are so tender that I can't bear to wear a bra or have them touched. I'm not pregnant. Anyone else had this?
Answer:
Somehow its an interesting phenomena I noticed with many of my women friends, their breasts got bigger (I am a woman too) like mine, maybe because we gained weight? more fat in our body than before? I think you can read about these symptoms in any menopause site or book.
maybe your hormones are changing with the age..my wife had it happen to her
Oh yes not very pleasant to have to deal with but speak to your doctor he maybe able to help. Hopefully they will return to their normal size.though mine never have.
Is this a symptom of the menopause?

I'm a 36 year old female. Over the last few days, I've experienced a burning sensation in my head. ??

The sensation is strange, it feels like I'm burning on the inside of my head (does that make sense?) I don't have a fever though. It can come and go quickly or last several hours. Has anyone ever experienced this or know what could be causing it? I thought maybe hormones but I'm too young for menopause.
Answer:
Are you having a head ache too? Go to askdoc.com and it'll help and go to your doctor. If you feel it could be something serious don't hesitate and go to the dr. Best Wishes.
You need to go to a doctor and not wait any further.
While some may have experienced what you have, you'd better talk to a professional when it comes to your head %26 brain.
Good luck, hope it's just some migraine.
you need to see a doctor asap. you may be experiencing some form of epilepsy. you may be having precursors to a stroke or seizure. if it's affecting your eyes also, you could go blind if you don't get this taken care of NOW.

not to scare you, but there are so many things it could be. an aneurysm, tumor, cancerous growth... get to a doctor. you never know what this may be. tell your doctor all the symptoms your having. he may order tests. (me personally, I'd rather go through the tests and know I'm alright than not know and have something serious going on!) good luck with this!
you neep to see i docter now who knows what it is it could be a desease or something bad that can cause injuries or death so i think you should see a docter asap.

Im a 32a and 16?

( for a friend ) is it naturall ?? i dont want to show bouys because there too small but they keep askin :S
Answer:
It's better to be small than really big they hurt your back.
You have not stopped growing yet %26 they may catch up with your body.
That is a great size. Very low maitenance
Well they are YOURS not the boys, tell em to **** off. :) Fill in whatever word you choose for the astericks.

I was that small at your age. I am now a 34C, and frankly I miss the smaller days; I MUST wear a bra to be comfortable now. Ah well.
Babe...i was that size when i was 16, I'm now 21 and in a 34D. And they do hurt your back...believe me! If a bloke doesn't like you cos you have a small chest then he really isn't worth it x x x
wow that SUCKS.
dont be embarresed about it your still growing ?use padded bras or try going on the pill which can increase your size if you still have concerns talk to your doctor .And dont be shy about boys if theyre worth it they wont care how big they are
sure its for your friend. just be happy with what you got!!
i guess im 16 and a small cup like A too
I am 25 and I am a 32 A. I'm skinny so there is no fat there now if I put some weight on, I usually grow to a size b. so, dont worry about it. just be happy with the way you are. if they are too big they can really hurt your body. your body grows just the way it should be :)
First of all there is no reason that you need to be showing anyone. If they are asking then they have some issues.
Second, you're young. I was that size until I was 18. Now I'm a 36D. Things just don't fit like they should. Be glad. You can always wear padding to fill something out. Be happy with who you are. I wish I didn't waste time worrying about that stuff looking back.
For me, i don't look at how big their breasts are. And 32A sounds fine to me so i don't think you have anything to worry about.
i was a 30 aa when i was 16 ,i'm now a 36c took me years to get them and to be honest i preferred them smaller, they are a pain ,my sister is a 40ff and she suffers constant backache ,plus if a guy is only interested in your bust they aren't worth bothering with,i never had a problem with guys when i was younger at least you know they are talking to you and not your boobs.
anything can be normal.

Be happy with your body and love it!

to put it in perspective, when I was 13 I was a 32C, I had a friend who was a 34A, we were same height, almost same weight, we were both condidered average!

Everyone's different.
Hang on to it. If thats all the boys are interested in, they arent worth it. You might regret growing boobs so just be happy with what you have got

I'm a 32 A, should I buy a bra?

Answer:
Yes.
I know you have "pancakes," but please do.
Nope. Thats a lil like putting perfume on a pig.
you should be embarrassed to say your training bra size
yes, even if you're small, your breasts will look more shapely, toned. Even A's need support. There's bras that can make you look bigger too.
If your 12 yrs by now you should be wearing something.
yeah, i think you should. almost everybody sizes A and up wear one.
YES!
PLEASE!
I hate it when I see girls not wearing bras because they think they don't have anything...but really you do.
Yes, I'm a guy, 32A is a nice size. I suggest you wear a bra because it will help hide your nipples from showing. Believe me, erect nipples on a 32A will be such a major turn on.
if u feel comfortable in wearing one do so.
Or even just a plain sports bra would help if it makes you feel better
Me too!
And you should if you want to... why not?!
Well, there are certain outfits and styles that will require a bra, or camisole at least. If you are wearing a sheer top of a light color a camisole is always necessary. Some camisoles have the built in bra shape - which is what I would recommend for you. A bra in additional to the camisole isn't necessary.

The important thing is that your breasts are not visible through clothing...either the color or the shape. Consider weather change factors as well. Never should your breasts be apparent to others. Although many today seem to enjoy showing them off, it is absolutely faux pas and very tacky...in any venue.
Hey!! i'd suggest wearing a cami-shrit. their little tank tops that come in every size, shape (v-neck low, square), and color imagenable. Places lict Abercrombie and Holister are full of them in the best styles!1 (byt a cami is a shirt with alittle bra connected but no straps no nothing to worry about!)
yes only if you feel uncomforable wearing certain clothes or if you have puffy nipples. I started at that size/ age now a days it is easist to find bras that size. wasn't so 8 years ago. Cute colors and patterns too :] http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602... http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602...
NO, WHY WOULD YOU BUY SHOES IF YOU HAD NO FEET.. NO BRA FOR NO BREASTS.
yes! for sure!
one with padding, to help you look more polished and shapely..little points showing threw clothing is not attractive!
Yes you should. I wear the same size, and I've been wearing a bra for a year already! It is comfortable with one because when you run, its doesnt hurt that much and it keeps them in place.
yeah if it is what you want even though thats little still need suport plus you nipples might show otherwise
uhh, i hate it when people say that people with 32 a's dont have breasts...The fact is they do, or they wouldnt make bras in that size. Go for it, it will be more flattering. Best of luck.
Personally Honey,
Yes. It may take about a day for you to get used to wearing it if you haven't worn one in the past but after that it will feel good, kinda like your older than you really are! Make sure that it is the right size though. Also, even if you end up loving it so much, DON'T wear it to bed because this has a higher health risk of breast cancer.
Good Luck Hun!

I'm a 23 year old female and I'm losing my hair. Help?!?

When I was younger I had very thick, full hair. I dyed it when I was in high school and it started thinning. I stopped dyeing it when I was 19, but my hair keeps falling out. I eat a healthy, well balanced diet and I don't use any chemicals in my hair, don't wear it in a ponytail, or blow dry/style it. it. I don't have any kids either so I don't think it could be a hormone problem, and it's not hereditary. It's so thin, I'm embarrassed and self conscious about it. What could it be?
Answer:
I don't know what it could be, but I might have something that might thicken your hair and let it grow healthy again. I had long hair, and in 2003 I cut it very very short, then two years later, I still noticed that my hair wasn't growing that fast or barely at all. There is a shampoo and conditioner called NIOXIN System 1. That has helped my hair dramatically, now my hair is growing very healthy and has thickened. You can look for the product on eBay. There different systems, for different situations, but I used system 1 and has helped alot. I hope that helps.
just like how some guys go grey in their 20s and how some guys start to lose their hair very early this can also happen to women as well i would suggest using rogaine my grandmother did when you got cancer and it worked very well, also make sure you drink lots and lots of water because it helps keep your hair healthy
There are very expensive things that could be done to treat it like implants and things but i don't know what your really willing to do...? There is over the counter thickening treatments out there that can help I'm not sure how well but you could always go to a dermatologist and see what they can do for you. Dyeing your hair once or even twice probably didn't do it. I'm no doctor but i do know that this happens to alot of woman because of birth control myself and some of my friends have had this happen like thinning and even bald spots. I know its embarrassing but you have to search the Internet for hair loss and see what come up. Good luck
I am 35 years old, do not have kids but have a hormone problem. Mine is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I would recommend having this evaluated by your dr to see if a hormone problem such as your thyroid could be causing your hair to fall out. A low functioning thyroid can cause symptoms such as hair falling out.

A woman doesn't have to have had kids in order to have a hormone imbalance and it can happen at any age.

I'm a 20 year old guy named Mike Cauchi and I am having trouble because my vagina is leaking HELP Please?

Its brown ooze like substance coming from my vagina. I was born a guy but my penis turned into a vagina. Strange but very true. Please help if you know what is wrong. I AM DEAD SERIOUS.
Answer:
i really really don't believe u well anyway that's 4 helping me 2 the next level and y did u waste 5 points on this

I'm a 19 year old women and my nipples never get hard do this mean i never ger horney?

if it dosnt mean that then what do it mean?
Answer:
Some girls don't get hard nipples. Have your bf try some sucking on them to see if that gets them stimulated and hard.
it's more about your nerves. are you really big-chested or really small? if so, there could be some nerve endings that did not develop correctly. i don't think this would be a dire medical condition, but when you have kids and want to breastfeed it may not be possible if your nipples do not "come to attention" and it may hurt like hell.

I'm 8 weeks on the way and just this morning i suddenly woke up with a feeling of something rushed out of me.

thought it was just an ordinary discharge but when i'm already in the bathroom i saw that it was blood. then suddenly something fell from me and when i examined it, it was a big lump of blood, i never saw anything like that in my life. it was shaped like a big teardrop with a tail but all blood. right now i'm having small cramps in my tummy and every now and then i go to the bathroom feeling nauseaous. still blood but not much come out of me. am i having a miscarriage?
Answer:
I take it you are pregnant as you say 8 weeks on the way?

What you have discribed I am so sorry to say does not sound like a treatened miscarriage but an actual one. The clot you discribed is not actually a clot. But I am not there to examine it for you to confirm.

If you are pregnant I can not say sorry enough.

You will need to see a Doctor to confirm this so you may want to go to the ER today.

Once again I am sorry and it's probably the last thing you wanted to hear as I would too.
yes
I was 5 weeks when I had a miscarriage with huge blood clots. It definately sounds like you had a miscarriage. I suggest you either make an emergency gyno appointment (if you can), or call the er and tell them you've had a miscarriage and that you're coming in.

If you go to your gyno, make sure he/she runs as many tests as possible to prove you had a miscarriage. My doctor only did one, and therefore said that I was just having a really really late period (even though I had painful cramping to the point where I couldn't move, massive blood clots, vaginal tissue at the bottom of the toilet bowl along with super red toilet water, and that I went through 2 pads in 45 minutes). Yeah, okay, sounds like a period alright!

I hope your doctor isn't going to be as irresponsible as mine were.
yes u did have a miscarriage and im sorry and i hope u did go to the e.r. an get checked sp that u wont get sick as u could get infection if all hasnt been discharged

I'm 5'9 and 138 lbs. is that fat?

I exercise at least 3x a week for 1.5 hours. And I do my best to eat well. Is that fat for a 16 yr old?
Answer:
Honey you are the PERFECT weight..I'm 5'8" and 125 lbs and people tell me I look anorexic, but I don't gain weight, no matter how hard i try... As long as you are eating healthy and exercising regularly the you are fine. Be thankful for what you have, you really have the perfect size.
No.
No...that is fine
You're perfectly good. Don't worry.
You are too thin!
No, that's good size don't worry bout ur weight i'm sure u look fine lol!!!
no, that's too thin. I'm 5'7" and weigh 150 and am normal weight.
No. Not at all is that fat.
n.o.

actually, for your height you should be fit at 140-154 pounds
I am one inch taller than you and only a tad bit heavier. I am not fat so I presume you are not fat either. Relax. You exercise and you are young.
No, you're not fat. Get a burger.
No that's not fat at all! You're perfect at this weight!
No. Your body mass index is 21 which is well within the normal.
What fat?! God no! My fiance is 5'4 and 142lbs and she's perfect... 5'9 seems your a little on the thin side.

Do you think your fat?
im 5' 6" and 128 lbs. im a normal wieght...for every inch add 5lbs...so you're 3 inches taller...you should be somewhere around 143. yeah i think i look good so i that's a perfect wieght for you.
not at all. for women the wt is 100 lbs for 5'. then add 5 lbs for every inch over 5'. at 5' 9" your allowable wt is 145.

Im 5'5'', about. && i weigh 130+ pounds. im under 16 also. is this normal? how much weight should i loose?

Answer:
im 5'3 and 130 lbs is my ideal weight for my hieght and build
i would say 130 lbs is good for your hieght, depending on your body frame you may want to lose or gain a couple pounds
if you are very slim *narrow shoulders and hips* 130 may be to heavy and to remedie that you should tone your muscles not diet
if you are built thicker with wide shoulders and hips gaining a few lbs may not be a bad idea

i have wide shoulders and hips if i lost any weight i would look ematiated you would be able to see my ribs (not healthy)
dont let the standard of society guide you in your goals on how you want to look. you should look healthy and if you didnt gain or lose any wieght im sure you would look healthy not sickly thin or chubby
but if you are still concerned about your weight go for a 45 min walk everyday that will help you keep in shape

good luck
Weight doesn't really go by how old you are but youre height. At 5'5 that's kinda tall, so I would say youre ok.

Im 5'5 and 140lbs would i be considered fat?

Answer:
That's considered a healthy body mass index, but you could have your body fat percentage professionally determined to get an estimate that way, too. There are some calculators on the internet that will give you an estimate, but these vary widely.
no it isn't! thats about right!
God NO! please don't become one of those girls obsessed with being skinny----try healthy, tone up if you feel loose, but that is a great size.
Another useless yahoo question without pictures!
Depending on your bone structure, you may be okay.

Here's a couple sites to help you find your ideal weight.
http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/met.htm...
http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.ht...
no not to me
Absolutely not. I'm the same and there is no way we are fat. If you really feel that you are fat you may consider talking to a professional about it. Body image issues can really be devastating. Accept yourself and as long as you are healthy be happy. That's my outlook. If you're not healthy make sure you take the time to work at it. You may not lose weight(because you probably don't need to) but you will start to feel better which will help you to better accept yourself.
That sounds about right, to me. But if you're still not sure, try the pinch an inch technique. Supposedly if you can pinch an inch of body mass from your abdomen than you are possibly over-weight, but according to the stats that you have given, I don't think that you are.

Mikey
Not necessarily. Depends on your build. You might perhaps have a large frame with dense and heavy bones. 10 stones or 65 kilos or 140 lbs is certainly above the average weight for your height but so what. Some people are above the average weight for their height and some people are below. As long as you feel OK it would seem to me that you have nothing to worry about.
chubby
nah thats healthy!

Im 5'3"female. am i short.?

my mum is 5'1", dad 5'5", grandpas 5'8", 5'7".

i want to grow to 5'7".
do i have a chance? im only 14 and even though 4 inches sounds like a lot, its not even the length of my hand.
do i have a chance?
i got my first 'p' last sept n only 4 times since.

thanks.
Answer:
Hi,

You are a young girl of 14 years only you are in growing age .
Yes you can very well increase your height up to 5'8" or more .
to achieve this you have to play the games Like Volley ball , Basket Ball which requires jumping.

Enjoy life
Do your legs reach the ground? If so, you are not short.
Genetics play a lot when it comes to height, but don't rule out being taller than your parents.
As for your period...That is most ALWAYS irregular your first few years, and some women are irregular forever.
Everyone is different.
If "p" means period . . . then you will probably will not grow much taller maybe an inch or two. . .
i think that you may grow a bit, but certainly you will 'grow' to love yourself as you are!

Peace+
5-3 is just perfect...dont change a thing

Im 5'3" and 14 yrs old. am i short?

n do you think i can grow to 5'7"?.
my mum is 5'1" , dad is 5'5", grandads r 5'8" n 5'7".5
my uncles r my grandads height.
Answer:
Normal size i guess but dont count on hitting 5'7

well you might make it to 5'7..
well i'm 5'2 and i'm 18...so you tall to me
im about 5'3.. and im 16.. you dont stop growing till your like 18 right? im not actually sure but if your that tall, your that tall.. much easier to get a boyfriend that is taller then you with that height anyways:).
I think you will grow but you cant be sure how tall you are going to be, so just be patient... seriously.
What can i say is : you are tall if you are female but for guy , sorry ! I'm male 5'6" only .

I'm 53 yrs old weigh 156 5'3 how much pounds should I lose?

Answer:
Hey, I am 55 and I am 5'4" and weigh 148, I like the weight of 120 , it really makes me feel better and my clothes feel great on me, I really believe that we should try and maintain 120 to
125, It is just so hard for us to lose at this age but I believe you would really feel great if you were able to accomplish this weight and to be able to keep it . I have always been small until just recently after I guit working I just sat at home for a while, the weight just took over but I am trying to get it under control and the ideal weight for me is 120 and my Dr. has always agreed with the weight. So good luck and have faith.
My wife is 5-2 and weight watchers (we are both members) puts her target weight between 109- and 125, depending on body style and other factors.
lose 20 and you will be right where the doctors say to be..
http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adul...

your body mass index is a more accurate reflection of your health associated with weight, go to the above site and plug in your numbers to find your bmi and good information on how to improve it
Well now Don't want to upset the apple cart but I like all those Numbers myself... I think you'd be just right for me...Don't do a thing... :)

I'm 5 months pregnant and take Lortab when I can get them. I want to quit.?

Ive been taken them on and off for 7 months It started when i had my tooth pulled and I think they make me more able to work around the house and be more level minded. They don't make me hi or anything. I take a 1/2 every 5 or 6 hours. I know they haven't found any thing that says it hurts the baby and I know OB's give to some paitents sometimes I guess I worried about my adtiction more than anything. I'm driving my husband nuts because he dosent want me to do them any more. When I have them i'm fine but then i spend days trying to find them. Its been 3 days I want to be done! Any suggestions? thanks
Answer:
I would talk to your doctor. Perhaps you should consider Narcotics Anonymous or a rehab center?
You need to see your doc and ask for his help in getting off the medication. Also you are pregnant and should not have been taking those without your docs ok while you were pregnant.
Don't want to scare you but maybe this is your answer. If a Dr. or nurse suspects drug addiction, they can test your urine or blood without your consent. They can call the child protection services and take the baby away from you to a foster home. Dry out before you deliver if you want to keep your baby!

I'm 31years old and i don't know what it feels like to bust a nut.?

Answer:
so use your hand then!
ok ??
HUH?
never heard a woman refer to it as" busting a nut"
interesting...
What are you hoping to gain by posting the question?
Labor should give you a pretty good idea, better hurry though!
U might want to ask the 40yr old virgin.
what?
go get a prostitute, then come back and tell us how it was =D

I'm 30, married, dont want kids. Would you undergo hysterectomy?

My husband and I have been married for 6 yrs. We don't wish to have kids. We're both in our 30's now. What is your opinion on hysterectomy? I've been on a pill and am tired of that. Just want to be certain I will never get pregnant. Is it a risky surgery? Complications? I don't have health insurance, is the surgery costly or is there any government programs that provide this service free of charge? Please: only honest and serious answers.
Answer:
You might want to look into a procedure called Novasure. you can get details at www.novasure.com.

This procedure is used for heavy periods but I know several women that had it done as a means of birth control.

Essentially it is endometrial ablation. From my understanding, a small device is inserted into the uterus and it "burns" the uterine lining, causing scarring. Eggs can no longer attach and you no longer shed the lining so no more periods! It's a minor procedure with minimal discomfort and you will not got through early menopause as your organs and hormones are still in tact.

It is still something to consider wisely as it is permanent and of course has some risks. Ask around, do some research, but this might be a good option! Good luck
I wouldn't have a hysterectomy because that will put you into menopause. You'd be better off with a tubal ligation.
hysterectomy is not the way to go. you will never feel the same. just get your tubes tied. or try that new birthcontrol called Nuvaring. go to www.nuvaring.com.
you will never have so many big O's in one night i promise.
God no. I went through a hysterectomy when I was 28 years old because of health reasons. You have no idea how it changes your hormone levels. Your vagina dries out, and you go through premature menopause. The surgery is over $10,000 without insurance, and that doesn't count what the doctor charges you. I have had hot flashes for the past 20 years. I promise you, it is miserable even with hormone replacement therapy. The surgeon who did mine, left my ovaries, and it still was traumatic for my body.
no because what if you divorce and separate and meet others and want children later? what if one of you has canver and servives, you may decide you want children then. plus, your other organs will fall not having the uterus to hold it up. you will have bladder problems among other things.
That's very, very extreme...I think tubal litigation is better...and no, I don't think it'll be free if there's nothing "wrong" with you, but I don't know where you live.
You don't have to get a hysterectomy just because you don't want to have children. Why don't you just get fixed. You could have a hysterectomy but you'll probably go through early menopause. Its up to you.
If I were you I would wait a few years. My aunt and uncle were sure they did not want kids and they had been married 15 years, yet when they were 32 they changed their mind and now have a wonderful 12 year old boy. I am not trying to change your mind, Just give it a few years for IF you change your mind because there would be no going back.
A hysterectomy has a lot more risks than a vasectomy. I don't think most doctors opt to perform hysterectomies unless it's a medical emergency. It's always easier to work on the man.
just get your (fallopian) tubes tied! It's a much less serious surgery than a hysterectomy, and your uterus does more for your body than just carry babies--it also produces hormones that keep you healthy and young-looking.

You could also look into an intrauterine device--it's a form of birth control that lasts up to ten years at a time, doesn't (always) involve hormones, and doesn't involve surgery!
I would suggest a tubal ligation, not a hysterectomy. With a hysterectomy many women have serious side effects. I believe both would be fairly pricey. I doubt that there are any free or government programs that would help with that. I suggest talking to your gynecologist or family doctor about your options and pricing. maybe they would be willing to waive some fees, or do a payment plan.
If it's an elective surgery, then no one is going to pay for it for you. Any surgery has risks, and I would be surprised if most doctors would even agree to do it, when you can just get a tubal ligation and not have anywhere near the risk involved. Your insurance might pay for THAT procedure. Look into it first.
I don't know much about hysterectomy's but...if your husband is up to it I would have him get a vasectomy because it is cheaper, less painful, an outpatient procedure, and in some cases reversible (if you ever decide to change your mind)
Are you clear on what you're asking? A hysterectomy removes your uterus. You would have to be on hormones for the rest of your life to regulate your mood, keep hair from growing like a man, and other undesirable effects. Your best bet is to get your tubes tied. This is called voluntary sterilization. Or have your husband get a vasectomy. Talk to Planned Parenthood or another organization like that about where you can have this done and what assistance you might be eligible for.
I think you might be happier with a tubal ligation.. That way you won't have the hormone problems that you would after a hysterectomy. Life after a tubal is just like it was before other than the pregnancy worry..The recovery time is a day for a tubal and for a hysterectomy you would still be moving slow in a week or more.. The cost is much much less and the government programs tend to be more help full with paying.
i would not get a hysterectomy because of all the hormonal changes you will have to go through. but instead you could get the type of tubal ligation i got (i didn't want anymore children). the type i got is completely infalible. my doctor cut my fallopian tubes, tied them in a knot and then burned the ends of them to prevent them form ever growing back together. they are so damaged i could never get pregnant, but i didn,t have to go through early menopause.
no
i doctor wouldnt do that... have you tube tied
I certainly wouldn't recommend a hysterectomy primarily as a method of birth control. A few people suggested tubal ligation and endometrial ablation - a combination of both of those will keep your ovaries active so you won't have menopausal symptoms, but you it is sterilization so your eggs won't be fertilized. The ablation procedure destroys the lining of the uterus so you won't have periods.

I've thought about having this combination of procedures myself, since I am 42 and don't want to stay on oral contraceptives any more.
Why not try an IUD? Just in case you change your mind in 10 years...
I think most everyone here has good points about not getting a hysterectomy. That is a last chance thing.

The best idea in my opinion would be for you to talk to your husband about getting a vasectomy. I know for certain that it has some good after effect benefits for the guy (my guy can stay ready to go for at least an hour after having an orgasm..) and it will protect you from not having any unwanted kids and also not having pre-mature menopause, which I am sure you wouldn't want to have!

I'm 30 and I have not had a period in 6 mos?

I had a tumor on left ovary they took it out 3 yrs ago. I have scar tissue, endemetocist, cyst on left ovary and fibroids.
Answer:
if ur not pregnant u may be going through metopause. Go see a doctor and find out whats going on okay
Thats ok, my mother conceived and borned 3 children on 1/4th of 1 ovary! Yoy could be pregnant. Better run and go grab a pregnancy test. You might wanna head to the ob/gyn too. Perhaps it is really really early menopause!
You need to discuss this with a doctor. It does not sound normal. The cyst may have recurred or any other conditions may be present. Let the doctor run some routine tests.
I can't speak from experience, but my sister has very irregular periods, they come several months apart. My other sister had cyst rupture on ovaries and it did not affect her cycle. I take it you have already ruled out the obvious-pregnancy? Return to the doctor who treated you for your other problems. Or have you and they are telling you it is DUB-or unexplained?

I'm 3 weeks late.. but I'm not preg and my hormone blood tests are all perfect...What could be wrong?

I'm almost at 3 weeks late... HPT's were negative.. so I went to the Dr's last week to see what may be wrong.. (My husband and I are trying to concieve). The Dr thought it might be a hormone issue since I had no signs of preg and also no signs of a period coming... at all. %26 I still don't. I got bloodwork done and the Dr's nurse told me that my hormones were 100% perfect.

I haven't gained/lost weight. I'm at a very healthy weight. I haven't been under stress... no eating, sleeping or any kind of habit has changed.

My cycle is always between 28-32 days... so now I'm about day 50.. nothing like this has ever happened before. Anyone have a similar experience or any thoughts?
Answer:
hi when i had my first child i missed my period and had 4 test all coming back negative then i started to feel ill not sick just not well this went on for about six weeks and then a period arrived so i thought o well must just be hormones then the sickness started i went back to my GP and had another test done and yes you guesses it i was pregnant not weeks months 5 to be prompt so i was shocked so test are not always correct so fingers crosses and hope it works out for you
im late too just took test but negative i think it might be a bladder infection i have but what you are saying i really dont have any answers for i would find a different doctor for 2nd opinion or ask for a re test good luck

I'm 25 year old Married newly, I have low BP, i feel tired vomiting & greedness early morning more?

even my eye also if i see someting i feel like that is rounding, tell me how to come out from low BP %26 be normal (if i carry also its problem if i'm like this)
Answer:
I think you should go to the Doctor and find out what is wrong, you shouldn't stress about it it will only make you feel worse. Having low bp can be dangerous and you really need to check it out with someone who knows.
Go to the doctor, he will put you on meds to regulate your pressure.
What?

I'm 23 yrs old...I had my boobies done 3-yrs ago...?

lately like 3-wks I've had terrible Allergies...I've been Sneezing a lot, Now I feel a little weird on my Left Breast..It hurts when I sneeze..I feel discomfort. When I sleep it bothers me.
Answer:
Yeah I would go ahead and get that checked out it doesnt sound good. Better to be safe than sorry.
best to have that looked into =they have been known to break
Could be an infection
You should check with your doctor to make sure everything is fine!
Simple:

see your physician that did the work. call their office and get it done.
it could be a side affect or it could even be a sign that it could be popping soon, i suggest to go to ur plastic surgeon.
You sprung a leak!
You should see your doc. It could be simple as a pulled muscle or the darn thing could have broken. Who knows what's going on until you get it looked at. Just take a deep breath and relax. Call your doc though! Good luck!
Maybe you sprung a leak, you should get that checked out. I'm worried boutcha. A leak in an implant can kill someone.
I'd see the family doctor and if they don't fix it try your PS.
Implants can get adhesion's and the skin is growing to the implant making you feel uncomfortable. Do you have rippling or when you squeeze your arm into your side, does there appear to be a spot that pulls in? This is a sign of adhesion's and you need to see your doctor. Not all doctors will go in and fix it due to it being classified under "elective surgery" ,so not covered by most insurance plans. the doctor might need money upfront if this is the case. Until you get in to see the sleep with a pillow under your arm, so there isn't weight on your side that is causing pain. This might ease the pain during the day too.
go to the docs!
Unfortunately you had the procedure done far too early and I am sorry to say that you will probably have issues related to development because you were growing in that vicinity and will continue to grow until you are in your early thirties. Why a woman is pressured to be put into this position at such a young age is something else we should look at. But the task at hand is recognizing the issue with your hardening which is what it is, most likely. A physician will be better to diagnose this and I am assuming that they are saline ( if it is a leak which I doubt) so you are not in any danger, but for vanity reasons they should be remedied to eliminate an abnormal appearance. Good Luck

Im 22 years old and lossing my hair what can i do to stop it?

Answer:
It depends what you mean. If you lose a few hairs every day it's normal. If you lose them in bundles and have bald patches, it could be stress related. Check with your doctor.
checkout the website www.beautyparlor.co.uk as they have many beauty/skincare/hair products that may be able to help. Good luck!
go bald, u will be very popular with big men bikies and butch dykes
1. If there is dandruff, it needs treatment.
2. Gentle massage with warm oil (whichever suits you) before bath.
3. Take vitamins and minerals if dieting, to avoid deficiency.
eat good healthy food, drink lot of water 5 liters a day sleep for 8 hours every day , go bed early and also get up early do physical exercises and meditation . every gone hair will come back soon
vatim Eis good for hair
Well, try using Pantene. It's a shampoo that will control hair loss.
ohh dear...keep a wig with u...sorry.USE HEAD N SHOULDERS HAIR FALL TREATMENT ..i'll surely help
eat more protein. maybe you are anaemic
I had the same problem and asked my hairdresser about it. She told me sometimes it can be caused by a lack of iron.(especally if your periods are on the moderate to heavy side).
I had a blood test done and found I was very low in iron. After a few months of taking iron, the problem stopped. If you suspect this could be a cause, have a blood test done to check your iron level.
Good luck

Im 21 is it normal to be confused about everything at my age?

Answer:
OH YES,, Hun when i was your age i didn't know what to do with myself,,, I was confused about life and who i was were i wanted to be in life, should i go to school should i get a job hmmm seems like your right were your supposed to be

good luck
Yeah I spose. What are you confused about?
I am 37,but a bit ashamed to ask this question
you can be confuse at any age eg - love, relationship, career, job, and many more but 21 and confuse over what? spartan
Personally I don't believe in "normal" but to answer your Q, I am 25 and still not sure about anything.
I think you feel like that coz when we are younger we think adults have all the answers to almost everything.
Honey, it's normal to be confused about everything at any age. I'm 30 and I can tell you it doesn't get any easier.
I don't think anyone is sure of anything at any age if that answers your question.
oh yes!
Im turning 21 in 2 weeks time, My life seems so confusing, i just dont know what to do! its crazy!
Pretty much. There is still a portion of the brain that is still developing. But if you are having any really bad thoughts you should see someone. Good Luck!

I'm 21 and i have no pubic hair is this normal?

I'm 21 and i have nothing down below and i am rather worried but i am scared to tell anyone about this, what should i do?
Answer:
If there's nothing medically wrong (verify with a doctor), leave it clean. Wooley mammoths are out of date.
seee a doctor asap. could definitely be a hormonal problem.
Be happy, hair is annoying.
As long as everything else is normal I wouldn't worry about it. You might just be very fair.
Do u have hair any place else?
See your doctor!!
Myabe you have naturally fine hair, which gives the appearance that you dont have much hair down there. If it is really bad as your saying, go and ask the doctor.
learn to live with it or go see a doctor, many men prefer no hair anyway but it is your personal prefernce.
wow 21 you should definatly consult a doctor on that one. it could be a lack of hourmones which can be fixed but u have to see a doctor.
I have never heard of this before. Is this for real? At 21, I can't imagine you being scared to tell anyone. You should have had pubic hair for years now - weren't you concerned at 15? Do you have hair elsewhere - legs, underarms? Sorry - not sure if I believe this question.
Getting body hair, the amount of it you get and when you get it is all to do with your hormones. Its probably worth a visit to your doctor. They will have heard it before, so try not to be too embarrassed.
I would be so happy if I didn't have pubic hair. You're lucky. It's normal though too. You're 21, meaning you've started your period and you have breasts. Not every women has pubic hair below the belt. There is a small percent that doesn't and you are one of the lucky ones. You have nothing to worry about! If you still want to talk to a professional, talk to your doctor and see if he or she could explain to you exactly why you don't have any pubic hair.
gosh i am 10 and i already have hair dude!
Well, I don't thing they sell wigs that you could wear..

There is no such thing as "normal". There is only "common".

You're not common. That must mean you're special.

Girls will love it.
That is abnormal. You should consult your doctor . Do not shy..
Do you have hair under your armpits?

If not it could be because of a hormone imbalance.

If your pubic area is the only place without hair I would go and see your Doctor as you may very well need a hormone level blood test done.
It could also be that the hair is so fine and light that it is difficult to see.
Your Doctor, although you are embarrassed, will not be shoked and is there to help.

Good luck with it.
relax, not everyone gets hairy
Why do I get the feeling that you are that Rock character that made me waste 15 precious minutes of my life answering your train of random questions thinking that I was helping an honest girl only to find that you were a dude? Hmm. I don't think I like you.
Well to be honest with you its kind of weird, you should see a Dr, I know is embarresing but its worth to look at, now in another way its kind of better coz hair is kind of anoying, so in a way you should be happy :-), but in another way you should be worried :-o
well. did you shave or wax it?
It sounds like you should see a doctor. You could have a hormonal imbalance, it depends on whether you have hair anywhere else, and whether you have regular periods etc.
It is not "normal" in many senses of the word, but not uncommon. Have you asked your Mom? Personally, most woman would love to be that way! A childhood diseeaqse or even your race could be a factor, it is best to find a female gyno to answer if embarassed.
If there is no other problem dont worry about it. u will shave it off if it is there anyway!
well everybody is different some have hair some don't me personally i wouldn't worry abt it,there isn't any definite way a person has to be,but if ur worried then just make an appointment with ur doctor he will let u know what is what.
whether you are a man or woman, be happy that you dont. it is much cleaner that way. You dont have to trim or shave.i wish i was like that. if you are concern then go see a doctor, but for the real side...be happy.
By your nickname and profile pic, I am going to assume you are male. Before panicking, answer these questions: do you have hair under your arms? Did you EVER have pubic hair and lost it? If not, you probably need to see your doctor. It is not an emergency, but it certainly is late. If you have no underarm hair or pubic hair, it could be an inherited thing. Some men don't mature until later. Does your father have pubic hair or hair under his arms? How about brothers? Regardless, if it bothers you, see a physician.
go and see your doctor, its not normal but im sure its not serious, he or she will probably prescribe hormones and you'll be fine.
You are lucky enough to not have hair down there, live with it and be happy. Good luck
Dont worry about it.
Men like it neat and clean anyway.
Its more fun and exciting and men can see the down below thingie.
As long you have a normal body and smart looks its fine.
When my wife shaves it off then its...hhmmmm too much exciting.
Its a sure TURN ON for me and most men.
Your voice change yet? Your gonads drop? If so, don't sweat the lack of hair.
hi

sorry this is defo not normal i would go to the doc it could be your hormones. on the other hand it sounds good, no bikini waxes maybe you should think yourself lucky.
Is pubic hair a friend of Brer Rabbit??

Im 21 and have never had a period. Does anyone know why?

Answer:
not sure why, but it doesn't sound good. have you ever gone to your gyno and asked them about it? if not you probably should get it checked out.
Yes, your doctor. Ask her.
Go to a gyno to get checked
are u a man?
You need to get checked out by your doc - it's probably just your own metabolism, but this isn't something people can just throw answers out on without making you worry. But go to the doc, it could be a number of reasons.
That is something you should be taking up with your doctor, there could be a more serious issue that you should get checked out to make sure.
You might be severely underweight and malnourished.
Some people just develop really late...

Maybe you don't have normal hormones in your body. I know you prob don't want to hear this, but you should really talk to your doctor...
it could be that you are soooo under weight your reproductive system can not function, thats what happens to anarexic girls also tell your doctor thats serious!!
see a gyno theyll tell you
I think that you should set an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible because this can bring reasonable concern. Perhaps you may be underweight. On the other hand, there may not be anything wrong. However, it is better to be safe then sorry.

Take care of yourself and have a great day!
see a doc. could be a lot of things. metabolism, eating disorder, medical prob. best to be checked out to make sure it's none of these.
I don't know the answer but I've got to say, YOU ARE THE LUCKEST GURL EVER!!
Are you an athlete? Runners and gymnasts tend to not have their period. If you are underweight, not getting the appropriate amount of nutrients, etc.
Definately go to an OB/GYN and get yourself checked out.
That doesent sound normal go see a doctor
see a gyn
something is definitely wrong here you need to see a doctor a gyn

I'm 18 and 5'3 whats my ideal weight?

Answer:
About 120 to 130
around 140 or 150
First off 140-150 is ideal for some one 6ft tall. Ideal weight for you is AROUND 115. Honistly tho, weight shouldnt be your consearn. Look more at you BMI (Body Mass Index). This is based off of what percent of your body weight is fat. Most people just look at the number on a scale and then freak out. What alot of people dont know is that muscle weighs more than fat does. so you could be 125 but verry toned and not need to lose anything.
well im 5'2 and a good wieght is is 110-130
somewhere around 130-140
According to a Body Mass Index chart ( I just went to my doctor yesterday), healthy women, normal bone size, should weigh 120- 150. Check with your doc, though. I'm telling you to check with them because they could have other weight plans (ranges) for you.
115 lbs for an average frame, 110 for small and up to 122 for a large frame.
girls = 100lbs for first 5' and 5lbs for every inch after

guys = 106lbs for first 5' and 6lbs for every inch after

so your ideal weight would be115
100 Best Wishes
Irony: I'm 18 %26 5'3" and I weigh about 120-125 (depends on day, etc.) But you really shouldn't worry about a number. If you look in the mirror and you think you look gorgeous, you're leaps and bounds ahead of girls who are 5'4" and weigh 90 pounds.

I'm 17, I'm a virgin, but I've missed my period for 2months.?

I'm not really stressed out or anything, so what could be the problem?
Answer:
Have you been exercising more than usual lately? That could be a cause. Also your diet can affect it. And there doesn't only have to be stress to weird out your period, it can also be excitement or moving or any big changes/events.
maybe u just skipped one? it happens sometimes
If you're a virgin and 17, the chances are good your hormones are fluctuating or you skipped ovulating. If you skip another month, see your doctor.
are you usually regular? Do you have a big event in your life? it is probably due to stress hun
you are stressed out or you have very low body fat count.
i don,t know but i did that all the time until i had my daughter, its very common to miss a period when your young.
i just had that happen, i didnt think i was stressed but i actually was. if u miss it again, c a doctor. dont work ur self up about it and try to work out a little more, working out wil bring it faster. good luck!!
that was just normal. periods are really something. my cousin experiencing such thing also, but she lost it for 3 mos. so she went to consult a doctor and adviced her to use pills for menstruation.
My daughter had this happen to her. It is caused by an inbalance of your hormones. When young women grow into their bodies they're menstral cycle is getting out of whack.
Sometimes birth control or the "shot" will make your cycles regular.
when i was 15-17 my periods came every 2-3mths. I was told that it is normal to have irregular periods, and that nothing was wrong with me it was just the way my body worked. However, if you are still concerned explain the problem with your mother and tell her you would like to get on birth control. a small does of the pill will make your cycle regular and make your periods less painful. hope i helped!
well it depends on your eating.
do you have an eating disorder?
Are you very athletic? Or maybe had an extreme change in your diet that caused quite a bit of weight loss? I see you said you are not really stressed, but there are times when a particular event/issue does bother you deep down- even when you tell yourself it doesn't. From personal experience- these are somethings that caused my period to disappear at one time or another. But to be sure it's not anything serious, I say make a check-up appointment with your doctor.
Being athletic or stressed can cause you to skip a period or two.

I'm 17 and my breasts hurt all the time?

Im 17 and i have had large boobs since i was 12 (i had c's when my friends had a's) and i was wondering if i could do anything because sometimes i cant breath i have constant back pain, and i cant sing anymore because i cant draw deep enough breaths
Answer:
Well, your back pain is likely due to the leverage your large breasts place on your upper body. There's not a lot you can do about that, unfortunately, although I've heard certain bras may reduce the stress on your back.

It also sounds like they are putting a lot of pressure on your lungs, which would cause difficulty breathing.

It's not a solution I think many women would or should choose, but these are some of the reasons some women choose to get breast reduction surgery. It may also help to try losing some weight.
Maybe you sould get it checked out by a doctor or you may still be growing.I would see a doctor about it.
They hurt all the time?
Well usually when they hurt , it means they are growing but im just not sure with this , sorry
Have you had a pregnancy test? I really think you should because I can see that most of these pains are symptons of being pregnant. Just check it out.

Im 17 and i havent had a period this month and im not pregnant.what could be my problem?

Answer:
Stress, anxiety, and improper eating habits can change your cycle. Don't stress it. You are still young. It's perfectly normal.
Stress will make you skip a month or two.
have you lost weight quickly? are you an athlete? changes in the body will do that. If not you better go see a doctor and make sure everything is okay.
Several years ago, I completely skipped a month and was totally freaked. Even after I knew I wasn't pregnant. My mother told me that every few years, your period can just switch up like that. I don't know how accurate her diagnosis is, lol, but there was nothing wrong with me. In addition, eating habits and weight gain/loss can DEFINITELY affect it. Every time I started a new semester at college and went back to being stressed out after a break, my period would be all screwy. But if you have any pain, go to the doctor- a lot of my friends have had problems with their uteris' and ovaries and such.
when i was 14 i went about 6 months with out it doc said it was norm
If you recently started your periods it will take a while for them to regulate!
On the other hand if you have been having periods for a while and this has never happened before then there could be a range of things... Stress, hormones, etc. You should see your doctor to rule out anything serious.

I'm 17 about to be 18 in like 3 months and I still haven't got my period... is that normal?

Answer:
It all depends on your physical structure and activity - for example, thin or small frame women will usually start their periods later, and women/girls who are very active will also start their periods later. Some gymnasts (small frame women who are very physically active) do not start their period until they are in their late teens (18, 19) or even their early 20's.

Family history is also a factor. How old was your mother when she started her period? What about your Grandmothers and your Aunts (on both sides of the family)? A family history of women who are "late bloomers" can cause a woman to get her first period later in life.

Vegaterians/vegans are also known to have their periods begin later than average.

While it can be totally normal to get your first period later than average, if you are concerned, you should see a doctor just to be sure that there are no problems..

If you have the factors that could cause a later than average start for a period (small frame, thin, physically active, family history, vegan) then I would bet that there is nothing medically wrong and your period will begin within the next year.

However, if you do not have any of those factors, then you should definately see a doctor to see if there is any medical cause.
It really is not normal, I would go to a doctor and see why?

Don't fool around with this.
Do you have a gyno that you see or a regular family doctor? You are a little old to not have your period yet. I would definitely check with your doctor to find out what is going on. If you are a really active person, that can delay your period. Being under weight can also cause your period to be held off. There could be other things going on as well. Get yourself checked out.
No. Are you very thin? Most girls need to reach a critical body mass before they will menstruate.

I would see a doctor, 90% of girls will start menstruating by their 15th birthday
No It Is Not Normal.
Go to your Doctor, that don't sound right. Check out m website to book travel and earn extra cash http://www.debbiestravelstore.com/...
that's not really normal. but how much do you weigh and how tall are you? if you weigh very little for your height then you wouldn't start until later. but go to your GP and get it checked out anyway - you shouldn't be this late starting. %26lt;3
It is time to see a gynecologist. It is not normal at all.
Women who do not have a period by the time they are 16 are said to have primary amenorrhea(( failure to menstruate by the age of 16).
Here are some reasons that may cause Primary Amenorrhea.
Eating disorders
Anorexia nervosa
Certain ovary conditions
Certain uterus conditions
Certain vaginal conditions
Certain hymen conditions
Certain genetic disorders
Certain hormonal disorders

Primary amenorrhea is usually the result of a genetic or anatomic abnormality.

Amenorrhea can be a transient, intermittent, or permanent condition resulting from dysfunction of the hypothalamus, pituitary, ovaries, uterus, or vagina. Prolonged amenorrhea might be the earliest sign of a decline in general health or signal an underlying condition, such as a pituitary tumor.

You need to see a doctor about this as soon as you can, there is something going on and you need to find out what it is and see if it is treatable..I'm suprised your mother is not worried about this unless she too was a late bloomer, but your very late and this is not normal..

good luck!

dehydration and increased blood flow make you dizzy. cold compresses on the back of your neck will help. don't lock your knees when you stand. i had these symptoms every pregnancy. they'll subside in a couple of weeks.
some of the symptoms are general symptoms of pregnancy, but go and see your gp just to be on the safe side. if your not satisfied with what the doc says or your still worried have a word with your midwife. good luck
Maybe bad symptoms but if you're feeling so bad why have you not gone to the dr by now? You could have symptoms of toxaemia , a condition in pregnancy caused by high blood pressure. In any case you need to get checked out. Could be that your iron levels are really low. Are you taking iron supplements? Good luck.

I'm 16 and I'm only 4'8".?

For my freshman physical, I got measured, and the doctor said I hadn't grown since fifth grade. I had to get a blood test done and whatnot, and it came back that I have Turner's Syndrome. I don't have the full thing, but part of it I guess. What Turner's Syndrome is (the full thing), is since girls' have two X chromosomes, Turner's Syndrome victims have one X and then a half of an X, which means 80% can't have children and don't grow past 4'8", and often die before they are able to have kids. The only part that applies to me is that I am only 4'8". My doctor said no growth hormones/steroids could help me grow. My dad keeps bugging me to take Amino Acids, and he keeps telling me it's going to make me grow, but I don't think it will, not by any stretch of the imagination. So, does anybody think he's right, or can anyone suggest anything, anything at all that might help me?
Answer:
I am short too (4'11'')and I am 35. My daughter who is 16 is shorter than me and more petite framed.
Not much we can do to be taller but to wear heels though my daughter wears flat Converse. We are short with not much room to put on extra weight so be sure to exercise and eat healthy. Be sure to maintain a decent and healthy weight or you will look just short and fat. So work with what you got!! Trust me, there are many guys out there who love petite girls!!
4'8" isn't that short, really. It's cute-short as opposed to horribly-wrong-short.
4'8 is not all that short I am only 5'1 and work eith all tall males so I know how you feel. But all I can suggest is to take vitamines and stand up striaght good posture will make you seem taller.

But hey remeber this it won't be hard to find a taller guy. :D At least thats what I tell myself. lol
Oh Yes! I'm 22 years old and only 5'1! At least someone's shorter than me!
Good things really do come in small packages!

Im 15 years old and have never used a tampon?

i have always used kotex pads, and im scared to try tampons. Can somebody please give me tips on how to use one.
Answer:
I am a lot older than you are. I have never used one and got along fine. Why do you feel the need to use one?
Me 2 gurl. You aint the only one.I'm 15 too but i did stick it up there once. But it hurts like hell. So I just use the pads. Im too scared that my heimin thingy will break.
Don't be afraid to use them. I was too when I was your age. The main thing is you need to relax when inserting it b/c the more you tense your muscles the more difficult it will be. Just read the little pamphlet that comes with the box of tampons. Once you do it you will be like - hey that wasn't so bad, what was I afraid of!...
Ok I will help you take the wrapping off of the tampon the pull the string in a circular motion. Next put it up there and make sure it is in deep enought to stay in. Then make sure you DO NOT leave the tampon in for more than 8 HOURS. Dont be scared it doesn't hurt that much ok good luck.
Oh my gosh. Best invention ever!! I love them. I started using them on my first period because i was in Myrtle Beach and I didn't not want to be able to swim!! I am 14 and was 13 when i started my period.

I don't have time to type out how to use them, but read the instructions on the box and keep trying! I thought i would never be able to use one and now i only use tampons. Just make sure that you are aware of TSS and the risks of using them before you try them.

Good luck!! Have a great day :]
first it might not be comfy but you'll grow used 2 it. try a junior absorbency tampon, which is the best to use when you first start. but be careful, cause u can get tss using tampons.
1] get a mirror, jar of petroleum jelly, and a junior size tampon.
2] go in the bathroom and lock the door
3] take off pants and panties
4] squat on floor
5] put mirror under you so you can see what you're doing
6] lubriate end of tampon with vaseline
7] inset into vagina at 45 degree angle, aiming towards small of your back [ not straight up, not straight back ]
8] push in until your fingers reach labia, and tampon should be in position, and comfortable. Remove applicator.
This gets easier the more you do it.
I remember being your age and being confused about tampons, my mother did not use them and I was clueless. My suggestion would be starting out with choosing a brand that comes in Junior or small/regular sizes, just until you get used to the feeling. Buy ones with a plastic applicator (I know they are not enviroment friendly, but they are much easier to use). You know a tampon is in correctly when you really cannot feel it or notice it, if it hurts, then it is not in right. You may even want to use KY jelly or some sort of lubricant if you have trouble sliding the applicator in. Don't be afraid to feel around down there before just blindly shoving a tampon up there. Basically you just insert it until the bottom of the applicator is almost all the way in you, then push the bottom part up inside the applicator, and then pull the plastic back out. That is really all there is to it, you may need to try more than once before you get it right, and it may feel weird or a tad uncomfortable at first, but again, it should not hurt once it is inside. Remember to change it every few hours and either throw it away of flush in when you are done. I am so glad I started using tampons, I am not worried about not being able to swim or do certain things, and honestly it makes me feel a lot cleaner and fresher. Tampons are not for everyone, but it doesn't hurt to try. I'm sure there are instructions on the box as well. Hope this is a little helpful. Good luck.
It does not pass anything, just continuous the intrucciones as they indicate it. But virgin or "nonvirgin", if this could hurts if this does not enter correctly. So, you must incline your body to avoid you fell pain or try again until no longer you feel pain.
Finally, do not worry, anyone could lost "virgin" with thats., never. Ciao then and good luck, :-)

I'm 15 years of age and I am having irregular periods, is something wrong with me?

My period usually would come on the 26th of each month when I first got it. Then the next year in Febuary is came on, on the 16th. Then in March it didn't come on at all. Then now in May it came on the 4th which is today and my stomach is not having bad of cramps which I am very happy about. But any other time my cramps make me want to cry and I hate to sit down. Can you please help me because I feel that somethings wrong with my body!!
Answer:
I'm not female, but I do know that irregular period are fine. There is nothing to worry about, women of any age can have irregular periods.

If you feel the need, talk to your doctor and/or gynecologist. He/she can help you with your cramps and possibly give you a prescription medication to alleviate the pain.

You can also try ThermaCare's Menstrual Cramp heat patches and Midol, Pamprin, or any other multi-symptom menstrual releif product.

Hope This Helps!
haha no nothings wrong with your body. irregular periods are totally normal. some women even have irregular periods in the 20's and 30's
theres nothing wrong with you, its normal to have irregualar period especially for the first few years after you first start your period. some women never have a regular period, its normal.
Girl no. Your body is just changing. Be glad its changing for the better. When I first started my period, I bled for 8 weeks straight. So like I said be glad. Then after them 8 weeks straight some months I would have a hard period then some months I wouldnt even have a period at all. The only way for you to be on schedule (which really helps) is to get on the birth control pill. That would help a lot. You would then only have 3-4 day periods and very light ones.
No irregular periods are normal. My periods sometimes are at the first or the end of each month.

I'm 15 and i just got my period, i am totally flat, do breasts/height sometimes develop after your period?

i am 5'0'' and i weigh 85 pounds. i have some breast tissue, i dont fit into an A bra size. i really hate being so skinny, flat and short. is their any hope for me?
Answer:
Your going to be fine. Your at the age where everything is going through changes. The next 5 years you will change so much that when you look back to today, you'll be amazed yourself! Enjoy these years, they're the best years of your life. You may not think so right now, but in 15 years you'll know it was too. You'll probably get taller too. I didn't really grow much until I was almost 18-19 years old. You've got plenty of time, so enjoy your teenage years.
used to be like u. Dont worry you are not going to be like that all your life although at times you feel like you are. I have three other sisters and we all were flat and skinny but now that we are all in our thirties I think we all wish that we were that size again.
Of course there is sweety!! That's what your period is.it's the time during puberty when your body changes!

If you are really worried about it.go see your doctor. They can help you decide what would be best for your health!
Look around at the older women in your family - basically if they tend toward curvier, you'll probably wind up that way too. If not, then basically that's a pretty good guess you'll stay pretty thin. Also, look at your parents' heights. If they are both shorter than average, you may not grow much taller.
Periods are natural cycles for ovulation. General hormone levels do rise with puberty. That's why it is called "Puberty", and that's why most people refer to it as the "transition period" between childhood and adulthood, due to the physiological changes one has to go through.

Simply wait a few more years, simple and yet it's probably the best route to go.
yeh...but i think the reason your flat is because you are like really really skinny. But don't worry you will fill out.

I'm 15 and I don't have my period...?

I'm just curious as to why. I know everyone says it's completely natural but I mean it's just strange: I've been using a bra and razor since I was about 10 so I've been curious for years as to why my period has yet to come. I'm not exactly hoping it will come because all my friends say that it's like hell but I'm just...ya know...concerned.
Answer:
If you're very athletic, or exercise a lot, or very skinny, or on a very strict diet, it could be why.

Or your body is just taking its time. If you have no other signs of hormone imbalance (like really excessive hair, or no breast development) a hormone imbalance is unlikely.

Speak to your doctor if you're concerned.
if you are really concerned, see a doctor. We can't help you, not really.
IT'S OKAY! I got mine when I was 15 too. I'm still 15. Lol, well actually I got it a month or 2 before I turned 15 but basically same thing. And I was fully developed every where else, I was so worried that I was like infertile or something lol. But really dont' worry about it. If you're really skinny that could be a contributing factor to your late period, or it could just be in your genes. Don't worry about it until your 18, and if you still dont' have your period, then you should be concerned. %26lt;3
I'm in the same boat. I can't tell you if you have a problem...but it always makes me feel better knowing that I'm not the only person out there in this situation...
Girls develop at different times so don't worry about it...you know if your in gymnastics or any other kind of sport that makes you very muscular and toned at a young age then you really shouldn't worry because its common for girls to get it late...depends on your weight and height and every other feature...but dont worry you'll get it but until then enjoy being this way girlllllly and go out and swim every chance you get..鈾?
Dear Expassion,
Please don't feel left out, when you get it you'll "regret it" trust me it is not pleasant! It's like a nightmare haunting you, but it
will come any day now, and you'll say why was I so anxious for this. Mother Nature will come soon, I promise!

Diana D
its fine same thing happened to me your fine
briefly let me explain, the hypothalamus is a gland at the fore base of your brain it is also believed to be affected by emotion as well as diet ect. any way this builds chemicals that are received by the pituitary gland which in turn releases chemicals or hormones that trigger the ovaries which in turn causes the uterus to develop and begin to cycle it's not like turning on and off a switch the hormones continually build until the period begins, for some it's not unheard of to begin periods at 18 or so, hang in there relax and enjoy puberty, because some women have affectionately called their periods the curse, hope this helps!

I'm 15 and being 86 lbs has disadvantages when it comes to breast size...?

i'm 15 and like it said on the question i weigh 86 lbs so i'm really skinny and i have a 32 AA bra size. aaaaaaaaah!
i'm so frustrated. i'm gonna be a sophomore this year and like ALL the other girls at least have an A cup. my boobs are like almost not there. i feel like an 8 year old. i already started my period when i was 13 but i'm still really flat chested.
my doctor said i should gain 10 lbs to be healthy weight but i can't even do that! i just can't seem to gain any weight at all, which of course means NO boobs.
what should i do to get bigger boobs (WITHOUT A PADDED BRA) and if you have any tips what can i do to gain weight?
thanks so much!
Answer:
Its genetic. Just because you gain weight won't mean your breasts will grow. They could, but its not guaranteed.

I didn't get breasts until I was 17. I'm 5'2 and weigh 98 lbs. I was completely flat until my senior year. I'm 19 now and wear a 32C.

Basically, if they're going to grow, they will. If they're not, you options may be limited. But you should gain some weight, although you didn't mention your height. Eat a lot of lean protein like grilled chicken and lots of dairy. They have healthy fat to help you gain weight. I don't eat meat or dairy myself, so I don't know how long it would take you to gain weight from those particular items, but they do have lots of fat.

Try to eat more carbs, too. I recommend buying loaves of French or Italian bread, instead of bagged white bread, as it's more filling and has more calories. Dip it in bean dip. Its yummy. I can't eat it, 'cause I'm trying to maintain my weight for my wedding, so you know it has to be fattening.
Okay your going to have to eat ALOT of food, you need to gain weight no matter what resulting in BOOBS. Eat anything your craving even if your not hungry.
omg darling;
eat!! like crazyyyyyy.
y are you only 86?!!
ru aneroxic?!
Whatever you do, just feel and be confident.
Most people want to lose weight lol. If you really want to gain weight and fast there are shakes that body builders use to gain weight when they lift. You can go to any health store and ask them
your are so SKINNY!! go eat something.a whole cake.your breasts will evenutauly grow i mena your 15 not like they stopped growing or anything still have time dont rush it eat more
If you were that skinny with big boobs... you'd look funny..
I had the same problems.. too skinny.. meaning no fat to make boobs!
I have some now. that Im pregnant..
Get pregnant, you'll gain wait and get big boobs.. Im soo just kidding..
But thats the only way I could get them.. and I went from an A to a C so far!
eat a lot of junk food when u start putting on weight u will grow boobs because boobs are fatty tissue
The very best thing that you can do if you really care about yourself and want to look your best is to stop worrying about your boobs and just try to live a healthy lifestyle. The more you worry about things that don't matter, like your breast size, the more likely you will create what is called a "self-fulfilling prophesy" where you essentially sabotage your own healthy and make yourself the unattractive person you fear you will be. Talk to your doctor. Do what they tell you to do. Then you'll be fine and you will look great. Good luck!
Like you, I struggled with this most of my life. I have always and will always be underweight. I just started making sure I was eating a well-balanced diet and then I actually picked up a few pounds (but I am still below the average). Try not to worry about it too much. There is not much you can do.
You need to increase your calories to gain weight. Try drinking boost and lots of milkshakes and high cal healthy foods. Look up calorie counts for foods on the web and find healthy things that are high in calories and start eating those. Buy some boost at the store and drink a couple of cans of that every day.
You need to gain some more weight it more fried foods and candy in order to gain the weight, then working out to have big breast and perfect body
Yikes you are TINY girl!
You just need to eat. Stay fit, but don't try work off all the food. It will take a while to be noticeable but you just need to stay healthy. Don't binge and then bulge. Eat only healthy foods, don't try to McDonalds and BK just to gain wait. And as for boobs, some people can be 126 pounds and still have no boobs. It's genetics. Good luck!
why not a padded bra
or just eat
or dont worry
if i were you i'd be happy about that. bc if a guy liked you, you would surely know it wasn't bc of your weight like some guys do with girls who are a little bigger. so just don't let it get you down. i admit, you should gain a little weight because for 15, 85 is kind of dangerous. like dolly pardon lol. good luck.
you need to go back to the doctor. to gain weight the doctor can give you prescribed medicine, this happened to my cousin and the medicine really helped and it doesnt make you overweight it makes you gain weight easier. hope i helped. :D
hmm. i am 15 and 85 lbs but im 5'3'. I will tell you my bra size is 36 B. you might grow some dont worry
Eat bread. LOL.. and no excersize.. hm.. sleep alot and dont eat breakfast.. remember this though.. Even if you do gain weight it doesnt mean your boobs will grow.. sadly.. because some fat people dont have boobs either.. LOL... :( anyways if all else fails pregnant woman have huge boobs LOL.. good luck
I did not get my period until i was 13 and while i was a little haevier in weight than you , it took me a while for my boobs to grow but the time I was 19 they were a full b/c and now i have more weight they are like a D .. give it time all bodies are diffrent we don't all get to a certain point at the same age. I am not over weight but as my weihgt fluctuates that is the first place it comes or goes from , so give it . at 13 i didnt even wear a damn bra... (-: hang in there , the bigger theyt are the more they will sag no woman truly loves her boobs i dont think...
girl boobs arent all%26#92; you have a puzzzzzzzzzzzzz right ] thats what is in demand, enjoy your life
the main thing I can suggest is that just don't worry about it too much if a guy(which I can assume is the reason you care) won't look at you because your "flat" then he probably isn't the guy you would want to be with

as far as I can say is if your going to try and gain weight do it healthily by eating more fruits and vegetables. Potato chips of course don't count you may gain weight faster but its not the kind you would want other than that I can't think of much else to help you
hmmm, I think you should just be yourself. Who cares what you look like. You have a long life ahead of you =]
I know this sounds lame but just happy with who you are. Yeah everyone else has boobs but don't to cover up the fact you don't have any. It's not that big a deal really. I'm 15 and really athletic so my boobs are nonexistent. But either way people will talk to you whether you have boobs or not.
Don't gain weight for people because that hardly ever works (to the place where you want fat). However, recently my coach (28 yrs old) said if you do push ups it'll lift you boobs to make it look like more.
they say 2 yrs after your first period that you'll stop growing. But there's a possibly they'll come later on. Just wait it out, but don't gain weight just to impress other people.
omgoodness. eat child eat!

Im 14, ive been 4'11" for 2 years(details)?

i already hit puberty like a few years ago. my mom is filipino, and most filipino women are short. i'm actually taller than my mom. my dad is american but hes average height i guess.
i have a good diet, i eat healthy, and i take a multivitamin everyday and i drink alot of water. i always try to be healthy so that doenst have to do with it
does my mom have something to do with it? could i be 4'11" for the rest of my life?
Answer:
yah..don't worry, im a short girl too. There's a lot of us out there. But remember that u ARE only 14. You have atleast 4 more years of growth ahead of you. If u are so depressed about being short, there are growth supplements u can get to boost ur height. But if u are thinking of doing something like that then do it now, because at ur age, ur growth plates have not begun to fuse to allow for more growth. So it's ok to do that now. But if u do it after 18, the only thing that will be growing will be ur nose, ur hands...wherever there's cartilage, and u don't want that. Talk to ur doctor and parents first. Your parents may object right away, but u do want to present this to ur doctor and find out if there are any serious complications of taking such meds first. Or, go natural and just drink milk. Good Luck, and stop worrying. Youre still a baby.
You might stay that height, but I'm 5'9'' and gained most of my height between 16-17
It's genetics hun, for girls once you hit 14, you have all the height you are going to get. I'm a short girl myself and haven't budged in height since I was 13.
You'll have a couple more growth spurts yet, you keep growing until the end of your teens normally. Whatever height you do wind up with though will be perfect for you!

I know it sucks being short (I'm only 5 foot) but look on the bright side. I can hide easily, I don't have to duck in rooms with low ceilings/entrances, I have the perfect excuse to talk to that hunky guy walking by if I need something off of a shelf!!
yes you could, but being tiny is not always a bad thing. you are only 14 though, and you still have time to hit a growth spurt. but you should find a way to be happy with your ethnicity.
your only 14 i was 4'11 when i was 13 and now I'm 5'5 so things change as you get older...be patient but on the other hand you may just stay the same...i've seen average height filipinos
wait until you're well into your 20's

in the States, women's height aren't such a big deal. a 4'11 guy would really have a hard time dating women though

I'm 14 yrs old and my height is 5'3'' and is stagnant since last few yrs. how can i increase my height?

Answer:
You can't. I'd say you are done growing. But don't worry. thats really not that short for a woman.
Thers no diet or anything you can do to increase your height. There is a prescription hormone that does this but youre too tall to be considered for this and it has nasty side effects like diabetes
EAT HEATHLY

I'm 14 do you think?

im to young 2 switch to tampons? do u think my mom will say no and its kinda embrassing 2 say mom can i switch 2 tampon, how do i ask? cause i HATE pads their yucky. and feel yucky
Answer:
lol im 13..i always have worn tampons since i was 11. lol...just be like mom i want tampons! give me em woman!! haha. she will udnerstand and if u dont want to ask ur mom...ask like ur grandma or aunt or somebody easier to talk to, maybe even like a cousin thats 17 or somthing..sometimes i think its easier to talk to them cuz their not so "over ur back" and want to know everything lol...and soon ur mom will realize that u use tampons and start to buy them for u...or just let her know wen ur like at walmart one day. haha. its easier like that too wen u can just throw them in the cart.lol
just ask her its ok.. use a carefree shield with it
That is just about the right age.
Your mother is a mature woman, so go ahead and ask. She will feel happy that her daughter wants to ask these things.

There is no special way to ask, just ask her if she can buy you some small tampons instead of pads the next time she is buying you sanitary items.
you'll just have to ask.
as embaressing as it sounds, I would just ask your mother, its your body and you should do what makes your most comfortable.
i switched to tampons when i was 13 and now im 15.. so i dont think your too young :) i hate pads too. i know a bunch of people that never even used pads when they started their period they went straight to tampons. and they are WAY better than pads trust me. dont be embarasssed to ask your mom :)
I think your not too young to switch. I agree that pads are gross, and feel gross. Just tell your mom you think they are gross. A good time would be like if you are at the store buying pads, say mom can I try tampons? I really hate pads. Just see what she says.
My daughter is 14 and she just switched to tampons. Talk to your mon, that's what she is there for!
Your mum had these decisions to make too, she won't be embarassed so you shouldn't be. Just explain that tampons would be more convenient and descreet with your clothes and to do sport at school
i think if you want to, than it is worth trying tampons, but bear in mind that you might not like them, or find them too umcomfortable and decide to stick to pads. as for yucky, change 'em often and shower everyday. it helps.
your mom might say no, but she is likely to let you try, especially if you ask her. if you can't work yourself up to ask her, maybe just buy a box of tampons yourself to try them. then if you don't want to change to them, you never have to bring it up with your mom, and if you do, then at least you know you do and the embaressment is worth it. if/when you buy tampons, get small ones to start with, maybe with an applicator or sometimes they have ones designed for people who don't use them often/have never used them before. good luck.
just do it and dont ask her.

Im 14 and this is rly gross. I can't stop sweating hot days, or just playing ball , or you know.?

whenever i am out w/ my friends, i cant stop sweating, either bc i play sports outside which is hot, its hot , etc. i put deodorant on and that still doesn't work ( I still smell) . I shave , i still sweat! how do I stop sweating (sweating= SMELL) and how do I not let me sweat show on the t-shirts that I wear?
Does deodorant even help me? what do I use? what do I do?WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
Answer:
A deoderant merely controls smell, it doesn't do a thing to prevent sweating. An antiperspirant will do that, although it will not stop it all. Sweat is the body's way of cooling itself, and necessary to your well being. You are a teenaged male, and sweating excessively is just a problem at this point in life. All teen males complain about it, although it is seldom a real big problem. Take a nice shower at least once a day using a deoderant soap. Use a medicated body powder, or a body powder containing baking soda afterwards, along with an application of a good antiperspirant. After you've played sports, it's probably not a bad idea to run that bod through a shower again, just to limit the problem. Bacteria on the skin are what give sweat the odor- although you also produce your own personal musky odor, result of your hormones at this point in life. If you plan to be out playing or getting really active, it's worth it to take along a fresh shirt to change into afterwards because there simply isn't anyway to not sweat a t-shirt unnoticeably. And it won't smell any rosier once it dries either. If one brand of antiperspirant doesn't seem to do the job, try a different one. They make heavy duty types just for sports and other extreme activities. A stick works better than a spray on, and if you rub it into the skin as opposed to leaving it stuck on the hair, it will work even better. Otherwise, relax. This too will pass in time, just like the squeeky voice does. It's part and parcel of puberty, and will calm down as the growing up finishes.
Fresh sweat doesn't have a noticeable odor; it's only when it dries that it smells. Use a good deodorant, shower after exercise, change your clothes often and try not to obsess about it.
In addition to the suggestions made above, i read that the odor of sweat also depends on what you eat. So if you are seriously bothered by it, consider changing your diet. The easiest start to that I think would be drinking lots of water, It purifies the body and the waste that causes the bad odor will be mostly carried off by urinating.
One of my friends has a really bad sweating problem. She uses certain dri, so try that out.
Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had it for a long time before learning this.

Check out this article about hyperhidrosis, grains, and sugars. Scroll about halfway down the page.
http://www.mercola.com/2004/aug/14/exces...

I had hyperhidrosis and other symptoms for many years and went through all the usual treatments including prescription drugs, antiperspirants, botox, ETS surgery. The surgery was most helpful but several years later hyperhidrosis began to return.

Years later I was diagnosed with a few food allergies. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and sugar from my diet. I stopped all prescriptions and began taking supplements for B vitamins and magnesium.

I'm 14 and my height is 4'11, am i going to get any taller?

My parents don't think I'm going to grow any taller at all, since I'm probably going to be short like my mom but I'm alredy taller than her and when I was young my doctor said I'm supposely going to grow to be 5'4-5'6.
Don't tell me to go drink some more milk because I do and its not helping at this age. Any chance of me getting taller? or any exercises?
Answer:
yes you will. i wasnt much taller than that when i was 14, and i'm 5'5 now. my mother is 5'1 and my grandmother is 5 feet tall.
Exercise + Yoga will help, though you r late to think about it. Cycling and swimming will be good for you. In yoga- Tadasana (Stand on yr toes n try to stretch your arms up as far as possible as if trying to touch the ceiling), Walking in Tadasana, Hanging on a bar, etc will help you. Not only milk, you need soya proteins, vitamins and minerals. Good luck, u will make it to 5'6".
yes you will get taller.you grow until like 16-18..don't worry...
Technically girls stop growing when they are around 20, but height depends on genetics, so if both your parents are short, you will be too. (Milk doesn't make you grow taller, it just strengthens your bones)
hey, drink some more milk. no, u got it easy. bein tall aint the greatest thing in the world either. but i live with it so surely u can get over being short.
my doctor told me women usually stop growing"heigh wise" about 2 years after their first menstrual period...and in my case she was right.
